Checked baggage
Free baggage allowance is allocated by weight or piece concept depending on the class and route of your journey.
 
For flights within Asia, Australia and New Zealand
Economy Class - baggage weight may not exceed 20 kg
Premium Economy & Business (Royal Silk) Class - baggage weight may not exceed 30 kg
First (Royal First) Class - baggage weight may not exceed 40 kg
 
For flights between Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia, Australia and New Zealand

Hand luggage
Passengers onboard Thai Airways flights are permitted one carry-on bag each, not exceeding 7 kg in weight. In addition, passengers may bring the following free of charge: a small personal handbag, wallet, purse, notebook and laptop. Walking sticks, cameras and small binoculars also fall within this category.

Transporting liquids
International security regulations have placed restrictions on the quantity of liquid, aerosols and gels (LAGs) that passengers are allowed in their hand luggage when travelling overseas. The packaging and transportation requirements are as follows:
LAGs must be stored in 100 ml containers and then packed in a 20 cm x 20 cm transparent, re-sealable plastic bag.
One bag is allowed per passenger and must be shown at airport security.
Medication, baby products and special dietary products are exempt, as are some duty free purchases.
 
CHECK IN
Airport check in opens 3 hours before and closes 45 minutes before flight departure. 
Royal Orchid Plus frequent flyer members and all Thai Airways’ passengers with a confirmed booking may check in online through the Thai Airways website between 24 and 2 hours before scheduled flight departure. Visit the website, click on the iCheck-in icon and input your reservation code or booking number.
  
Please note, passengers still need to pick up their boarding pass, present all documentation for security checks and drop off their baggage on arrival at the airport. It is recommended that you arrive at least 3 hours before departure to Australia and 2 hours before departure to other international destinations (or one hour before Thai domestic flights).
