We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere the resort had to offer. It has a little bit of everything without going overboard in order to keep it at a competitive price point. Rooms are clean and refreshingly decorated with each room overlooking the pool or Grand Bay. Food is great, drinks flow at the bar which overlooks the pools and bay and there is even an underground nightclub open 3 times a week.

If you are looking for sports and wellness, there is a spa, gym, tennis courts and the usual water sports situated off a nice beach that allows you to walk around the bay.

This is a great entry level 4-star property situated up in the North of the island, conveniently placed right in the heart of Grand Baie making it close to a variety of restaurants and shops as well as night time entertainment such as bars and discos.

The mood is set when you enter the hotel and greeted by a big and beautiful fish tank right next to reception! Downstairs offers a lovely big pool, restaurants, bar and open beach areas from which to enjoy the views over the bay. There is also an underground night club which is open 3 days a week for you to shake a leg!

The resort offers a lovely quiet spa, a gym with limited equipment plus a couple of tennis court to practice that backhand but the activities don’t stop there! There are a couple of pool tables, table tennis and of course the standard water sport activities such as water skiing, kayaking and sailing also on offer to keep you busy. Please note that very few hotels in Mauritius offer waterskiing free of charge! The beach is small but nice, adorned with palm trees and offering you a peacefulwalk around the bay. The swimming area is limited given the number of boats moored and coming in and out of the bay and all water sports are held a short way out in the bay.

There is a daily buffet at the resort plus the Nautica Restaurant, which is A La Carte. The food is fresh and delicious whether it be freshly caught fish or a Pizza which has just popped out the oven. Drinks can be had at the bar by the pool with stunning views of the bay. The rooms in the hotel are spacious with aclean, fresh modernlook suited to this type of property.

We feel this resort is ideally suited to couples, singles or even businessmen looking at working either in Grand Bay or the nearby capital of Port Louis. However, having said that, the resort does offer a good kids club plus entertainment so certainly an option for families on a budget. Overall, it is a relaxed resort, close to shops and restaurants and for the price it is excellent value for money!
